IsThisAiWritten publishes comparisons of AI detectors and articles about AI detection. These are the rules every page follows, so you can judge how far to trust it.

Facts about other tools

Prices, limits, privacy terms and features of other detectors come from those companies' own public pages. Each page lists its sources with a link and the month they were checked. These details change often, so treat them as true on the date shown, and check the company's site before you pay for anything.

Accuracy claims made by a company are reported as that company's claims. Where independent research exists, such as university studies or public benchmarks, we cite it and say what it measured.

Our own tool

We run a competing product, and we say so wherever it appears. Our comparisons describe IsThisAiWritten on what it offers: it is free, needs no account, has no length limit and runs in your browser without uploading your text. We don't claim it is more accurate than any other detector. How it is tested is set out on the methodology page.

Comparisons and rankings

IsThisAiWritten is listed first on our comparison pages and "best of" lists, because it is our tool and the free, private option with no length limit. Every other tool is ranked by the criterion the article states, such as independent test results, free limits, privacy or price. Rankings about accuracy rank other tools only. Every comparison page includes a section on what the other tool offers that we don't, and when to choose it.

No paid placements

No company pays to appear on this site or to be ranked higher. We have no affiliate links. Some articles show ads served by Google AdSense; Google chooses them, and advertisers have no say in what we write. Links to other companies' sites are marked as not passing ranking credit, and we are not affiliated with any company we compare.

Dates and corrections

Each article shows the date it was published. If we change its substance, for example to correct a fact or update a price, the page also shows the date it was updated. Small fixes such as typos don't change the date. If you spot an error, write to [email protected] and we will check it against the source and correct the page.
